Our founder Dr. Ballan Paraman is an Ayurvedic medical practitioner for many years.
He is a strong coffee lover and loved instant coffee. Around year 2009, Dr. Ballan suffered severe allergic reaction that causes acute and chronic flu and sinusitis. Unable to find out the causes, Dr Ballan lived with this condition for around 5 years. In 2014, during a 4-days trip to Indonesia, Dr. Ballan experienced a strange change in his health condition where he felt healthy and free from the flu and sinusitis condition completely. Without knowing the cause attributed for this complete improvement and changes, Dr. Ballan conducted an analysis on things that he did including food and beverage intake during his stay in Indonesia.
Dr. Ballan found out that the reason for his health improvement is due to the pure coffee that he consumed during his stay in Indonesia. To confirm this analysis, Dr. Ballan continued consuming the regular instant coffee when he returned to Malaysia and he experienced the immediate return of the flu and sinusitis. The next few days he stopped taking the instant coffee but instead consumed pure coffee that brought back from Indonesia, the attack stopped.
Dr. Ballan immediately conducted study on why instant coffee causes the severe allergic attack. He discovered the truth that shocked him. Dr. Ballan found almost all instant coffee products use artificial flavoring, artificial coloring, preservatives and maltodextrin. That means all this while, we’ve been drinking fake beverages labelled as coffee that cause many health problems without knowingly, including diabetes, migraine, heart burn, constipation, severe allergies etc. etc. to name a few.
Frustrated and disappointed with these findings, Dr. Ballan decided to produce coffee products just by using only 100% pure coffee powder and make it a point that all consumers shall be getting the “real coffee” not artificial mixture sold as coffee. This is how BUNNA coffee was born in a small scale beginning 2015. We do not intend to change the world but trying to do our best to contribute to the well beings of people that we could reach with our efforts.
